Hold City Council Accountable and Support the CBA
Ward 7 wants to ensure our community is put first if we bring a stadium to DC. The best way to protect our neighborhoods is through a strong Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) that will bring investments and resources directly into our community, while respecting the rich history and culture of our neighborhood.

Hold DC Council accountable to include what the community wants
We’re seeking neighborhood support for proposed commitments we want to see in a CBA. It is vital that we hold the parties involved accountable to deliver on commitments we want to improve our Wards.
As longtime residents of Kingman Park, Civic Association members, and engaged Ward 7 neighbors, we want to protect the rich history of Kingman Park and make sure our neighbors see specific benefits if a stadium is developed in our backyard. Kingman Park holds a significant place in history as one of the first neighborhoods in Washington D.C. where Black residents could become property owners. Our neighborhood also played a crucial role in Civil Rights demonstrations that ended legally sanctioned segregation in education, recreation, and housing throughout the city. It's imperative we protect the history and culture of our neighborhood.
